The Golden Gate Park a large public park spanning over 1,000 acres in the heart of San Francisco. Throughout the forests and vast green space are some great attractions. You will find a variety of world-class museums, gardens, and scenic trails. This park allows for recreation and education for visitors of all ages. Inside the park, the California Academy of Sciences offers incredible plant and animal exhibits, an aquarium, a planetarium, and a natural history museum. The de Young Museum houses some of the most precious artifacts and pieces of art. Or enjoy the outdoors on a scenic walk through the Japanese Tea Garden or the top of Strawberry Hill.

The Japanese Tea GardenSneak into this wonderful garden filled with exotic Japanese plants and an authentic tea house. The tea is fantastic, but the sights are even better.
You will find a clipped hedge in the form of Mt. Fuji and an azalea-covered waterfall.
Golden Gate Park WildlifeA wide variety of animals, big and small, call this park, home. To see some of the more unique feathered creature, hike to the top of Strawberry Hill and bring your binoculars. This is one of the best spots for bird watching. The park also contains a Buffalo Paddock for a small herd of bison. To witness them, just drive along John F. Kennedy Drive towards the west end of the park.

Because of the very little frost and high amount of winter rain, there is always something growing in the park.
